No. 61-300 <br />Establish No Park- <br />lng Zones east side <br />Baker St. btn Santa <br />Clara Ave, & 22nd St. <br />(Mr. Evans) <br /> <br />offering to accept said employment, and approving and agreeing to all terms of said <br /> <br />communication. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, the written recommendation <br /> <br />of the Manager, dated December 14, 1961, was approved for salary step increases for one <br /> <br />employee, effective December 1, 1961, and for one employee, effective January l, 1962. <br />. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, the request of the Depart- <br />merit of Public Works was granted and the plans and specifications approved for the widening <br />of Bristol Street between Santiago Creek and Memory Lane, Project C-67; permission to ad- <br />vertise for bids will be requested after approval of plans and specifications by the Cou~ty.!i <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, the request of the Depart- <br /> <br />ment of Public Works was approved, and Change Order No. l, dated December 14, 1961, with <br /> <br />Sully-Miller Contracting Company, was approved in the amount of $673.00, for reconstruction <br /> <br />of Catch Basin at Station 28+77.3, in connection with reconstruction of Fifth Street <br /> <br />between Harbor Boulevard and Verano Street, Project C-66. <br />. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, the recommendation of the <br /> <br />Department of Public Works was approved and the request of Sully-Miller Contracting <br /> <br />Company granted for a time extension of ten working days, for the completion of the <br />reconstruction of Fifth Street between Harbor Boulevard and Verano Street, and construction <br />of Pacific Avenue between First Street and 180 feet south of First Street, Project C-66. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Hubbard and carried, James H. Radcliffe was <br /> <br />appointed to serve as a member of the Personnel Board to replace the unexpired term of <br /> <br />Sam Lyons; term to expire July l, 1964. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, the claim of Southern <br />California Freight Liras for alleged damages, in the amount of $43.65, caused by low branch <br />of tree, to truck while traveling on LaVerne Street, was referred to the Attorney and <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Schlueter and carried, the communication <br />from Orange County Street Naming Committee, reference the conflicting street naming <br />problem which exists on the Hiatt Street - Nicolas Avenue - Euclid Avenue - Verano Street <br />alignment, stating this Primary north south route should have but one name; and requesting <br />the City of Santa Aha to change the name of Verano Street to Euclid Street, was referred <br />to the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of Council- <br />man Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, the following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 61-300 concerning parking limitations and curb <br /> markings in accordance therewith" <br /> <br /> <br />
