Hubbard, Henry H. Schlueter, Dale H. Heinly, <br /> Bob Brier, A.A. Hall <br />Noes, Councilmen None <br />Absent, Councilmen None <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of Council- <br /> <br />man Hubbard, seconded by Schlueter and carried, the following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br />"Resolution No. 61-299 of the Council of the City of <br />Santa Aha requesting the County of Orange to include <br />within the Arterial Highway Financing Program the <br />development of Edinger Street" <br /> <br />from Flower Street to Bristol Street, was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Henry H. Schlueter, Dale H. Heinly, <br /> Bob Brewer, A.A. Hall <br />Noes, Councilmen None <br />Absent, Councilmen None <br />. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, the following Ordinance <br /> <br />entitled: <br /> <br />"Ordinance correcting Ordinance No. NS-521 passed and adopted <br />June 19, 1961" <br /> <br />deleting Section 17 of said Ordinance, and adding Sub-section 35 to Section 9247.4 of the <br /> <br />Santa Ana Municipal Code, dealing with Land Use Regulations, was introduced, considered and <br /> <br />placed on file for second reading. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Schlueter and carried, the following communi- <br /> <br />cations were received and filed: <br /> <br /> From the City of Orange submitting copy of Resolution No. 1818, proposing to annex <br />certain real property on the north side of Collins west of Prospect Avenues, designated <br />"Annexation No. 175"; <br /> <br /> From the City of Orange submitting copy of Resolution No. 1819, proposing to annex <br />certain real property north and south of Katella Avenue, east of Cambridge Avenue, <br />designated "Annexation No. 176"; <br /> <br /> Claim of Robert Warren Fears and Beulah M. Denning, for alleged injuries and <br />damages due to insufficient instruction on operation of a jointer in Woodshop Class <br />at Smedley Junior High School; <br /> <br /> From Mrs. Nanci Brown, 7082 Betty Drive, Huntington Beach, stating that one section <br />of Warner Avenue, between Verano Avenue and Newhope Street is hazardous and should <br />be repaved, and commending that most highways are well paved and lighted; and communication <br />from the Department of Public Works advising this area is within the corporate limits <br />of the City of Fountain Valley; <br /> <br /> From Forrest H. Howard, M.D., 2001 West Trask Avenue, requesting that the parcel of lane <br />including his own, which was annexed to the City in June, 1960, be rezoned to A-l, as <br />it was when originally annexed; <br /> <br /> From the Santa Ana Chamber of Commerce submitting Resolution, reference the pro- <br />posed expansion of the Orange County Airport, the re-aligment of MacArthur Boulevard, <br />and the proposed use of Federal Funds therefor, and requesting detailed information <br />prior to any action, and an opportunity to be heard on this matter; <br /> <br /> From Mayor L. Pete Jensen, Gardena, requesting support, at the January 18, 1962, <br />meeting of the League of California Cities, Los Angeles County Division, to be held at <br />Santa Anita Park, Arcadia, reference Gardena's request to the League to be consistent <br />in its stand on commercialized gambling; <br /> <br /> Notices of hearing before the Public Utilities Commission, in the matter of the <br />Application Nos. 43668 and 43899, of Dyke Water Company for authority to increase rates <br />charged by it for water service; hearing set for January 10, 1962, at 10:00 A.M., State <br />Office Building, Los Angeles; <br /> <br /> Application of Joseph J. Dohnalek and Louis W.
