No. 62-14 <br />Authorize condemnation <br />property for City Park <br /> ~71 <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Heinly~ seconded by Hubbard and carried, the request of <br />Diamond School P.T.A. was denied for a four-way stop at the intersection of Edinge! <br />Avenue and Greenville Street. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the request of <br />Neiman Jewelers, 202 East hth Street, was denied for the No Parking Zone in front <br />of 202 East hth Street to be redesignated a Freight Loading Zone. <br /> <br />A petition was presented fram Mrs. R. W. Griffin, 1805½ North Spurgeon Street, sig~ <br />ed by approximately 72 persons, for a crossing guard at the underpass near Hoover <br />School, 20th and Spurgeon Streets~ fram 2:50 P.M. to 3:30 P.M. for the safety of <br />the school children. On motion of Counc~ilman Heinly, seconded by Hubbard and car- <br />ried, the petition was received, filed, and the Manager instructed to cause an in- <br />vestigation to be made by the Police Department for more rigid control by regular <br />Police Officers at the underpass at 2Oth and Spurgeon Streets. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard~ seconded by Schlueter and carried, Mayor Eall and <br />Co~ci~ H~lyaad B~e~r were granted permission to leave the City to attend the <br />League of California Cities Conference on Metropolitan Affairs at Sacramento, to be <br />held January 31 through February 2~ 1962, with expenses to be paid by the City. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, the oral request <br />of Attorney John K. Colwell was granteS, to leave the City January 26 through Janu- <br />ary 29, 1962, to attend the four-day course at the University of Califoraiaat San <br />Francisco, without expense to the City. <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br /> <br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Schlueter and carried, the following Resolution <br />ent it led: <br /> <br /> "Resolutio~ No. 62-14 authorizing City Attorney to proceed with <br /> condemnation of property known as Assessor's Parcel Numbers <br /> 62-503-2 and 62-503-3 for a City Park" <br /> <br />was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes~ Councilmen Royal E.
