RESOLUTION NO. 92- 026 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ESTABLISHING THE <br />GLENWOOD/SPRUCE PERMIT PARKING DISTRICT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Article XI (commencing with Section 36- <br />480) of Chapter 36 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code, the City <br />Council of the City of Santa Ana is authorized to adopt a <br />resolution establishing Permit Parking Districts wherein parking <br />restrictions apply to all vehicles except vehicles which have been <br />issued parking permits pursuant to said Article; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council finds and determines that the <br />Glenwood/Spruce residential neighborhood is in need of a Permit <br />Parking District in order to protect its integrity against the <br />intrusion of vehicular parking by persons other than residents of <br />that neighborhood incidental to their use of the playing fields of <br />Santa Ana Valley High School and Carr Intermediate School; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The Glenwood/Spruce Permit Parking District is hereby <br />established, to consist of that area of the City of Santa Ana <br />bounded on the north by Edinger Avenue, on the east by Bristol <br />Street, on the south by Warner Avenue and on the west by Raitt <br />Street. Said district does not extend to or include said perimeter <br />streets. <br /> <br /> 2. The parking restrictions imposed pursuant to said Article <br />XI and this Resolution shall apply to any block within the <br />Glenwood/Spruce Permit Parking District only after a petition <br />signed by the owners of seventy-five percent (75%) or more of the <br />residential lots abutting such block have filed a petition with the <br />Executive Director of Public Works expressing their desire for such <br />parking restrictions, and after signs indicating the parking <br />restrictions on such block have been erected in accordance with <br />said Article XI. <br /> <br /> 3. No person shall park any vehicle at any time on any <br />portion of any street within the Glenwood/Spruce Permit Parking <br />District as to which signs have been erected indicating the <br />application of permit parking restrictions, except persons and <br />vehicles exempte~ from such parking restrictions pursuant to said <br />Article XI. <br /> <br /> 4. Persons entitled to a permit to park in locations subject <br />to permit parking restrictions pursuant to this resolution include <br />and are limited to the following: <br /> <br /> <br />
