<br />vice, Inc. was accepted at the item amounts as set forth in their bid and the othe
<br />bid rejected.

<br />This being the date set for hearing ~n Amendment Applicatio~ No. 383, filed by
<br />Cal-C~ack Foods, Inc., amending Sectional District Map 16-5-10, to reclassify
<br />frc~ the C-2 and A-1 Districts to the M-1 District property on the south side of
<br />Bolsa Avenue between a point apprc~.~tely 1000 feet east of Verano Street (Euclid
<br />Street ) and a point apprcximately 6O0 feet west of Andres Place, extending apprcx-
<br />imately 1300 feet so~th of Bolsa Avenue, all as shown on E~hibit A.A. 38~A; W. L.
<br />Schooling, ~52~ Bolsa Avenue, stated he is not in favor of spot zoning, and prac-
<br />tically all of the area is zoned C-2; at times the dehydration creates quite an
<br />odor and noise; the School District has a new school in this area and when it is
<br />occupied the irritation frcm the peppers could becc~e a health problem to the
<br />children; and the homeowners realize the plant was there before the homes were
<br />co~structed, but objected to any expansion of the facilities. Hearing closed.
<br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Ordinance, on motion of
<br />Councilman Heinly, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the following Ordinance en-
<br />titled:

<br /> "Ordinance emending Article IX of the Santa Ana Municipal
<br /> Code to change district classification on Am~-ndment Appli-
<br /> cation No. 383 and amending Sectional Distric~ Map 16-5-10
<br /> (Exhibit A.A. 383A)"

<br />Clara Avenue Just west of Wright Street, if extanded. On motion of Counc~lm~u
<br />Heinly~ secnnded by Hubbard and carried, the c~mwmAnication was received and filed.
<br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of
<br />Councilman Heinly, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the follow, nE Resolution en-
<br />titled:

<br /> territory to the City of Santa Ana, desig~ating an appropriate
<br /> name for said territory~of 'Santa Clara and Wright, Northwest
<br /> Annex' end giving notice of protest hearing thereon"

<br />Main-Southeast Annex," consisting of approximately 9.551 acres, located at the
<br />southeast corner of Lynn Street and Main Street (Tustin).

<br />Appeal Application No. 58 was presented on Variance Application No. 1613, filed
<br />Cresenci~ and Tereza Talavera, to allow a third dwelling to exist on an R-2 lot at
<br />B16-318 North Harper Street for one year, wherein the applicant appeals the denia~
