RESOLUTION 93-017 <br />PAGE 2 <br /> <br />Hundred Dollars ($2,500.00) to pay such rewards, and no rewards <br />pursuant to this ordinance shall be paid in excess of this amount. <br />A claim for the reward shall be made to the City not later than <br />sixty (60) days after the conviction of the perpetrator. <br /> <br /> 2. Any person who has willfully damaged property by <br />inscribing thereon graffiti as defined in this resolution, shall be <br />liable for the amount of any reward paid under this resolution <br />pursuant to the provisions of Section 53069.5 of the California <br />Government Code, and if he or she is an unemancipated minor, his or <br />her parent or guardian shall be liable for that amount. <br /> <br /> 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br />provide any court finding any person guilty of the act of vandalism <br />as defined in Section 594 of the California Penal Code for <br />inscribing graffiti within the City of Santa Ana with information <br />concerning the cost to the City of cleaning up the graffiti or the <br />cost to the private property owner of cleaning up the graffiti, and <br />to request the court to require the convicted person, or if such <br />person is an unemancipated minor, to require the parent or guardian <br />of such person, to reimburse the city and the private person for <br />the cost of clean-up and to require such person to physically <br />assist in cleaning up graffiti. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 15th day of March , 1993. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />~n~ce C.
