The staff of the Lead Agency <br />reviewed the comments. <br /> <br />REVISED DRAFT EIR <br /> <br />A Revised Draft EIR was prepared at the City's request <br />after the City's additional review on the Initial Draft <br />EIR showed that additional analysis and clarification <br />were required for the anticipated traffic related to the <br />Main Street Concourse development. An addendum and <br />revision to the original traffic report was prepared at <br />the city's direction. <br /> <br />On April 15, 1992, the Revised Draft EIR was sent to <br />affected public agencies and interested organizations and <br />individuals, and to the State Clearinghouse. <br /> <br />A Notice of Completion of the Revised Draft EIR was filed <br />with the California Office of Planning and Research on <br />April 15, 1992, briefly describing the project and its <br />location and indicating that the Revised Draft EIR was <br />available. <br /> <br />Copies of the Revised Draft EIR were sent to affected <br />public agencies, interested organizations and <br />individuals, and the State Clearinghouse for state <br />agencies review for a 45-day review period, beginning on <br />April 15, 1992 and ending on June 1, 1992. In addition, <br />three copies were sent to the Santa Ana Public Library. <br /> <br />Notice of the public hearing at which the City solicited <br />public comment on the Initial Draft EIR was published in <br />a newspaper of general circulation in the affected area, <br />The Orange County Register, on May 17, 1992, May 23, <br />1992, and May 24, 1992. A noticed public hearing was <br />held before the City to entertain public comment on the <br />Initial Draft EIR on May 26, 1992. <br /> <br />At the request of the public at the hearing, the City's <br />Planning Commission approved an extension of the comment <br />period to June 10, 1992. Comments were accepted as late <br />as June 15, 1992. <br /> <br />Interested agencies, individuals, and jurisdictions <br />submitted their written comments on the Revised Draft EIR <br />to the Lead Agency.
