The construction of new community facih'ges may require <br />additional police and fire protection services In the City. The plan will also assist in the financing of <br />educational facilities. Fireflow demand is estimated by the Fire Department according to the Department's <br />Guide for the Determination of Fire flow. Structures are then rcquired to be redesigned to provide adequate <br />fire flow or include water systems and fire hydrant improvements. The addition of seven neighborhood <br />parks and the expansion of vdsttng facilities may place additional service demands on law enforcement. <br /> <br />Finding: Finding 1 <br /> <br />Facts in Support of the Finding: <br /> <br />While beneficial impacts on public services are expected, adverse impacts may occur with park development. <br />Implementation of the following mitigation measures will reduce public service impacts to a level of <br />insignificance: <br /> <br /> New development shall comply with the Uniform Fire Code, the Uniform Building Code, all <br /> applicable state codes, the National l~re Protection Association Fire Code and the Santa .,ina <br /> Municipal Codes on fire safety, fire prevention and fire protection measures in new construction, <br /> as reflected in approved building plans. <br /> <br /> <br />
