" 131 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 93-077 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA ESTABLISHING <br />THE VALLEY HIGH PERMIT PARKING <br />DISTRICT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Article XI (commencing with Section 36- <br />480) of Chapter 36 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code, the city <br />Council of the City of Santa Ana is authorized to adopt a <br />resolution establishing Permit Parking Districts wherein parking <br />restrictions apply to all vehicles except vehicles which have been <br />issued parking permits pursuant to said Article; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council finds and determines that the Valley <br />High residential neighborhood is in need of a Permit Parking <br />District in order to protect its integrity against the intrusion of <br />vehicular parking by students at Santa Ana Valley High School and <br />other person using that school's sports fields; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The Valley High Permit Parking District is hereby <br />established, to consist of that area of the city of Santa Ana <br />bounded on the north by Edinger Avenue, on the east by Raitt <br />Street, on the south by Warner Avenue and on the west by Greenville <br />Street. Said district does not extend to or include said perimeter <br />streets. <br /> <br /> 2. The parking restrictions imposed pursuant to said Article <br />XI and this Resolution shall apply to any block within the Valley <br />High Permit Parking District only after a petition signed by the <br />owners of seventy-five percent (75%) or more of the residential <br />lots abutting such block have filed a petition with the Executive <br />Director of the Public Works Agency expressing their desire for <br />such parking restrictions, and after signs indicating the parking <br />restrictions on such block have been erected in accordance with <br />said Article XI. <br /> <br /> 3. No person shall park any vehicle at any time on any <br />portion of any street within the Valley High Permit Parking <br />District as to which signs have been erected indicating the <br />application of permit parking restrictions, except persons and <br />vehicles exempted from such parking restrictions pursuant to said <br />Article XI and this resolution. <br /> <br /> 4. Permit parking restrictions in the Valley High Permit <br />Parking District shall not apply to the side of any street <br />adjacent to any non-residential use or to any multi-family use <br />having more than four dwelling units. <br /> <br /> <br />
