jmf 5/4/2016 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2016 -041 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION 1993 -077 RELATED <br />TO THE VALLEY HIGH PERMIT PARKING DISTRICT FOR <br />THE PURPOSE OF EXPANDING SUCH DISTRICT TO <br />INCLUDE THE CENTENNIAL PARK NEIGHBORHOOD <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines <br />and declares as follows: <br />A. Pursuant to Article XI (commencing with Section 36 -480) of Chapter 36 of <br />the Santa Ana Municipal Code, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana is <br />authorized to adopt resolutions establishing permit parking districts in <br />which parking restrictions apply to all vehicles except those vehicles that <br />have been issued parking permits pursuant to such Article. <br />B. By Resolution No. 1993 -077, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana <br />established the Valley High Permit Parking District, as shown on Exhibit 1, <br />attached hereto and incorporated by reference. <br />C. Owners of residential properties immediately west of the Valley High <br />Permit Parking District have noted a lack of available parking on their <br />streets and asked to participate in the City's permit parking program. <br />Consistent with City policies, sufficient petitions were received from such <br />residents to meet the criteria for permit parking. Other nearby residents <br />have also made inquiries. <br />D. To accommodate the present and future requests, the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Ana now desires to expand the Valley High Permit Parking <br />District, <br />Section 2. The Valley High Permit Parking District is hereby to consist in its <br />entirety as follows: that area of the City of Santa Ana generally bounded on the north by <br />Edinger Avenue, on the east by Raitt Street, on the south by Warner Avenue, and on <br />the west by Greenville Avenue; and shall include the new additional Centennial Park <br />Neighborhood bounded on the north by Edinger Avenue, on the east by Greenville <br />Street, on the south by Warner Avenue, and on the west by Fairview Street, as more <br />particularly described on Exhibit 1, attached hereto and incorporated by reference; <br />Resolution No. 2016 -041 <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />
