Hall <br /> <br />Absent: C~u~cilmen: None <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance wes given. <br /> <br />Invocation wes given by Brigadier John Allen, Salvation Army, substituting forReverend David Riley, Salvation Army. <br /> <br />Each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of <br />July 16 and July 23, 1962, reading of the Minutes was dispensed with; <br />Minutes of July 16 were approved as mailed with the exception of Resolutions <br />!34, 135~ 136, 138 and 139, which should be corrected to show that <br />Councilm-~ B~ewer voted "Yes;" Minutes of July 23 were approved as <br />mailed, on motion of Councilman Brewer, seconded by Hubbard and carried. <br /> <br />Bid Acceptance <br />West Wells <br />Nos. 1 and 2 <br />Rotary Drilling <br />Method <br /> <br />A tabulation of bids was presented by the Manager for construction of West Wells Nos. <br /> <br />1 and 2 in accordance with Specification No. 62-2, as follows: <br /> <br />Roscoe Moss <br />McCalla Bros. <br /> <br />Total Bid Bond <br />58,9z .oo 10% <br /> <br />motion of Counci!m-n Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, the Roscoe Moss Co. <br /> <br />Bid Acceptance <br />Project 131 - <br />Constr. of Talbert <br />Avenue (new) and <br />Project 132 - <br />Constr. of Fairview <br /> <br />bid, at a total cost of $55,666.00, was accepted and the other bid rejected. <br />Counci~w~u Heinly disqualified himself on the bid for Projects 131 and 132. J. Noble <br /> <br />Hearing <br />Reso. 62-122 <br />Newport and Dyer <br />S.E. Annex <br /> <br />Co. ~n the ~ ~a~unt of ~$7~5,220.~0 was accepted and the other bids rejected. <br /> <br />This being the date set for hearing on Resolution No. 62-122, the Mayor opened the <br /> <br />hearing and announced that the Council having been served with an injunction, the <br /> <br />hearing would be continued; on motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly, the <br /> <br />Hearing <br />1960 Zoning Ordinance <br /> <br />heartng was continued to August 20, 1962 at 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers. <br /> <br />This being the date set for continued hearing on amending the Zoning Ordinance of 1960 <br />by creating a new Land Use District proposed to be titled the PCD (Planned <br />Development District); no protests were received and the hearing closed. The Council <br /> <br />having unanimously waived the reading of the Ordinance, on motion of Councilman Heinly, <br />seconded by Hubbard and ~ea~ried, the Ordinance was passed for second reading without <br /> <br /> <br />
