On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Schlueter and carried, the City Mmnager was authorized to dispose of surplus equipment to the best advantage of the City and in accordance with the law. On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, agreement with C. J. Segerstrom & Sons for procedure on payment of drainage fees was granted and the proper authorities were authorized to execute the agreement, subject to conditions. On motion of CounciLman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, release of bonds on filed by Montgomery Park Tract No. 4244 (Kent Avenue and Harbor Boulevard)/and Tract No. 362~ (Harvard and filed by Orange Co. Realty filed by R. L. Stuckey Co. for Roman Arch- Greenville~, and Tract 4022 (Harvard and Fairview~, w~s. approved, bishop of L.A. On motion of CounciLman Hubbard, seconded by Schlueter and earried~ written recom- mendation of the Manager dated August 16~ 1962, for salary step increases for nine Notice of Public Hearing Site Plan 137-62 Garden Grove employees, effective September 1, 1962, was approved. On motion of Councilman Hubbard~ seconded by Heinly and carried, Notice of Public Hearing that City of Garden Grove will conduct a hearing on August 28, 1962 in re. Site Plan 137-62 for construction of a department store and rezoning frc~ M-1 to C-M on approximately ten acres north side of Westminster Avenue, was received and Request Blue Note Music Co. Encroachmeat Opinion re. Albert Lipps to sell and Douglas Bus Lines~ Inc. to purchase-from PUC filed. On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Schlueter and carried, request of L. Phillips, President, Blue Note Music Company, for continuance of sign encroachment under Permit No. 18851 was received, filed, and referred to the City Manager and Attorney for the next meeting. On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Hubbard and carried, Opinion rendered by Public Utilities Coxmission in re. Application of Albert Lipps to sell, and Douglas Bus Lines, Inc.~ to purchase operating rights between Whittier and the Douglas Plant (Long Beach) and discontinue and extend portions of the service areas~ was received and filed.
