- sonu xo 431 <br /> <br />Nighttime illumination of the project buildings and parking areas will spill over ~nto <br />the residential structures immediately south and southwest of the project site. <br />Proposed commercial structures and surface parking areas could increase glare from <br />the site, depending on the types of building materials used. <br /> <br />Changes or alterations have been required in, or incorporated into, the <br />project which avoid or substantially lessen the significant environmental <br />effect identified in the ]SIR. <br /> <br />Facts in Support of the Finding <br /> <br />The significant effects have been substantially lessened to a level of insignificance by <br />virtue of. the following mitigation measures identified in the Final EIR and <br />incorporated into the project,t' <br /> <br />Outside light fixtures shall be consistent with the City of Sant~ Aha <br />Building Code, National Electrical Code, and the requirements of the <br />City of Santa Aha Police Department and will be designed and installed <br />at angles to reduce light intruding onto adjacent land uses. <br /> <br />Prior to the issuance of a building permit, the applicant shall prepare a <br />point by point computerized photometric study showing the light <br />trespass into the adjacent residential neighborhood. The purpose of this <br />study is to ensure the extent of offsite light impacts to the adjacent <br />residential neighborhood will not exceed 0.2 candle foot. This study <br />shall be submitted to the City of Santa Aha, Police Department, Crime <br />Prevention Sergeant. <br /> <br />To minimize excessive light and glare, building exteriors shall utilize a <br />low reflectance glass. Mirrored glass and other highly reflective <br />building materials shall not be utilized on the exterior of the building. <br /> <br />Exterior building courts and corridor illumination shall be designed to <br />minimize intrusive glare 'at nearby residences.
