Counci~ <br />heard statements in opposition from Mrs. O'Brien, 911 E. First Street; Mrs. Anna Marlborough, <br />909~z~ E. First Street; and Mr. Richard GuaJardo, 830 E. Second Street. There being no fur-~. <br /> <br />ther testimony, the hearing was closed. It was ~ved by Councilman Hubbard and seconded byi <br />Councilman Gilmore and unanimously carried that Council waive further reading and adopt a <br />resolution approving C.U.P. 126 subject to recommended conditions of Publc Works and Plann-! <br />lng Departments except that an eight-foot, opaque, wooden fence be substituted for the <br /> <br />block wall requirement. L. and Juanita Conkle <br />to construct, operate, and maintain a gasoline station in the A-1 District at the corner <br />of McFadden and Euclid Streets. Bruce Summer, attorney for the applicants, submitted photo~ <br /> <br />graphs of the proposed develot~ent and two letters from lending institutions unfavorable <br /> <br />to granting loans for residential use. Council heard statements in opposition from the <br /> <br />following: Douglas Clark, 1510 Mar-Less Drive; Del Michael, 917 So. Toland; Jean Hopkins, <br />4302 W. Regent Drive; M~s.
