RECCP~D OF S~RVEY 285 0A-25 Council received a report from the Planning Cc~mission outlining recommendations for the implementation of a comprehensive Master Plan. It was moved by Councilman Brewer, seconded by Councilman Hubbard and carried, that the City Council authorize the ning Commission to proceed with the preparation of the Master Plan as rec(~.~ended in their report, and authorize the Planning C~lssion and staff to negotiate with the Downtown Santa Aha Association to work out details of the Downtewn Phase of the Plan. On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Councilman Schlueter and carried, Council received and ordered filed a staff report on the possible elimination of parking on Fir~ Street westerly of Main Street, and postponed action to December 3, 1962. Mrs. Alvira Beltron, 1201 ~est First Street, protested the delay in consideration and final action in the matter. On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Councilman Schlueter and carried, Council received and ordered referred to the Planning Commission for recmmaendation a request for alley abandor~aent north of 19th Street and west of Main Street. On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Councilman Gilmore and carried, Preliminar Record of Survey 285, filed by Paul A. Viviano, creating two lots located at 1013 Mar- Less West (private street), was approved subject to conditions 1, 2a, and 2f of the Planning Director's repoz% dated October 29, 1962. It was moved by Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Councilman Schlueter, that further reading be waived and Resolutio~ 62-204 be adopted. Councilman Brewer made a verbal request for consideration by Council of assistance to a proposed assessment district in the Greenville-Edinger area. On motion of Councilman Brewer~ seconded by Councilman Hubbard and carried, action was continued to December 3, 1962. On motion of Councilman Hubbard, secomied by Councilman Schlueter and carried, Council approved the request of George H. Rose, 461 Daleh~st Avenue, Los Angeles, that a $75.0~ filing fee made in 1958 be applied to a new application being filed to reclassify prop- erty on the south side of West Fir st Street, east of Sullivan. On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Councilmmu Schlueter and carried, Council denied the claim for damages to his automobile filed by Paul Stcwell, 523 Devon Road, in the amoun~ of $70.00.
