Follow- <br />ing the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, the Invocation was delivered by <br />The Reverend Jay Weener, Parkview Reformed Church. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVAL On~tion of Councilman Hubbard, <br /> seconded by Councilman Schlueter and <br /> unanLmously carried, the City Council <br />approved minutes of the Regular Meeting of December 17, 1962. <br /> <br />BID AWARD, W~3~ NO. 22 On motion of Councilman Hubbard, <br /> seconded by Councilm-u Schlueter and <br /> unanimously carried, Council received <br />and ordered filed a tabulation of bids received for the construction of <br />Well No. 22 on Cambridge Street north of Fairhaven; approved award of the <br />contract to McCalla Brothers, Inc., at the unit prices bid, and rejected all <br />other bids. <br /> <br />BID AWARD, YEHICLES On motion of Councilmsn Brewer, <br /> seconded by Councilman Hubbard and <br /> carried, Council received and ordered <br />filed a tabulation of bids received for furnishing various replacements and <br />additions to the City's fleet of vehicles; approved award of the contract <br />to George Dunton, Incorporated on a trade-in basis, and rejected all other bids. <br /> <br />HEARING Mayor Hall opened the hearing continued <br />AMEND. APP. kl2, BUCEHEIM from December 17, 1962, on Amendment <br /> Application 412, filed by Robert Buchheim, <br /> proposing to amend Sectional District Map <br />5-5-9 reclassifying the northwest corner of 17th Street and Sherry Tmne from R-lB <br />and A-1 to C-5, R-S, and R-lB Districts. Council heard testimony from the appli- <br />cant and from Hugh Wright, 2001 N. Lyon, who spoke in oppoisition to the R-k <br />zoning on behalf of a group of property owners who had previously protested. There <br />being no further testimony, the hearing was closed. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Brewer that Amendment Application kl2 be denied. There <br />being no second to the motion, it was moved by Councilman Schlueter, seconded <br />by Councilmmu Hubbard and carried, that Council approve the reclassification and <br />instruct the City Attorney to prepare an Ordinance amending Sectional District <br />Map No. 5-5-9 according to Exhibit A.A. kl2-C. <br /> <br />HEARING Mayor Hall opened the hearing on Amendment <br />AMEND. APP. k20, WONG Application k20, filed by Robert K. Wong, <br /> requesting an amendment of Sectional Dis- <br /> trict Map 16-5-10 reclassifying property <br />situated approximately 1300 feet south of McFadden Street and east of Kent Avenue <br />to approxtm-tely 275 feet west of Harbor Boulevard, from the A-1 District to the <br />R-1 District. There being no response to the Mayor's call for testimony, the <br />hearing was closed. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Councilman Brewer and carried, <br />that the City Council approve the reclassification and instruct the City Attorney <br />to prepare an Ordinance amending Sectional District Map 16-5-10 according to <br />Exhibit A.A. 420-A. <br /> <br />City Council - i - January 7, 1963 <br /> <br /> <br />
