~4INUTES OF THE REGUIJiR MEETING OF TEE CITY COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA January 7, 1963 The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. Roll call was answered by Councilmen Hubbard, Schlueter, Gilmore, Brewer, and Mayor Hall. Follow- ing the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, the Invocation was delivered by The Reverend Jay Weener, Parkview Reformed Church. MINUTES APPROVAL On~tion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Councilman Schlueter and unanLmously carried, the City Council approved minutes of the Regular Meeting of December 17, 1962. BID AWARD, W~3~ NO. 22 On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Councilm-u Schlueter and unanimously carried, Council received and ordered filed a tabulation of bids received for the construction of Well No. 22 on Cambridge Street north of Fairhaven; approved award of the contract to McCalla Brothers, Inc., at the unit prices bid, and rejected all other bids. BID AWARD, YEHICLES On motion of Councilmsn Brewer, seconded by Councilman Hubbard and carried, Council received and ordered filed a tabulation of bids received for furnishing various replacements and additions to the City's fleet of vehicles; approved award of the contract to George Dunton, Incorporated on a trade-in basis, and rejected all other bids. HEARING Mayor Hall opened the hearing continued AMEND. APP. kl2, BUCEHEIM from December 17, 1962, on Amendment Application 412, filed by Robert Buchheim, proposing to amend Sectional District Map 5-5-9 reclassifying the northwest corner of 17th Street and Sherry Tmne from R-lB and A-1 to C-5, R-S, and R-lB Districts. Council heard testimony from the appli- cant and from Hugh Wright, 2001 N. Lyon, who spoke in oppoisition to the R-k zoning on behalf of a group of property owners who had previously protested. There being no further testimony, the hearing was closed. It was moved by Councilman Brewer that Amendment Application kl2 be denied. There being no second to the motion, it was moved by Councilman Schlueter, seconded by Councilmmu Hubbard and carried, that Council approve the reclassification and instruct the City Attorney to prepare an Ordinance amending Sectional District Map No. 5-5-9 according to Exhibit A.A. kl2-C. HEARING Mayor Hall opened the hearing on Amendment AMEND. APP. k20, WONG Application k20, filed by Robert K. Wong, requesting an amendment of Sectional Dis- trict Map 16-5-10 reclassifying property situated approximately 1300 feet south of McFadden Street and east of Kent Avenue to approxtm-tely 275 feet west of Harbor Boulevard, from the A-1 District to the R-1 District. There being no response to the Mayor's call for testimony, the hearing was closed. It was moved by Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Councilman Brewer and carried, that the City Council approve the reclassification and instruct the City Attorney to prepare an Ordinance amending Sectional District Map 16-5-10 according to Exhibit A.A. 420-A.
