HEARING - SADE Mayor Hall opened the continued AMEND~ APP~ 421 hearing on Amendment AppLication 421 for reclassification frc~ C-2 to R-4 District of property on the southeast corner of Pacific Avenue and St. Gertrude Place, filed by Larry Sade° There being no response to the Mayor's call for testimony~ the hearing was closed° The Clerk reported that a letter had been received from the applicant requesting tha~ the application be withdrawn° It was moved by Counci]man Brewe~ seconded by Councilman Hubbard, and carried~ that the Council approve withdrawal of Amendment Application k21 as requested by the applicant° HEARING - ROSE Mayor Hall opened the hearing on k~ENDo APP. 425 Amendment .Application 425 for ~mendment of Sectional District Map 14-5-10~ reclassifying property situated south of First Street, east of Sullivan Street, west of a public drainage channel, and north of the westerly continuation of Myrtle Street from the R~l and M-1 Districts to the C-2 and R-4 Districts, filed by George H. Rose° There being no response to the Mayor's call for test~mony~ the hearing was closed° It was moved by Councilman Hubbard~ seconded, by CounciLman Brewer, and carried, that Couucil approve the amendment as recommended in tbs Planning Commission Resolutions 5597 and 5599, and instruct the City Attorney to prepare an appro- priate Ordinance amending Sectional District Map 14~3-10, according to Exhibits AoA~ 425B and 425Co APPEAL - TAXI DRIVEr'S LICENSE A hearing was opeDed on an appeal filed by James Steven~ 2526 Elden Avenue, Costa Mesa, from the refusal of a taxi driver's license by the Police Department because of a dm~rDten driving charge in 1958 in the midwest° There being no response to the Mayor's call for testimony, the hearing was closed.
