045 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 97-012 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA TO AMEND RESOLUTION NOS. <br />82-110 AND 96-095 TO DESIGNATE THE CLASS OF COMMUNITY <br />PRESERVATION COORDINATOR AS ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT (AM) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the <br />City of Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and <br />maintain a position classification and pay plan subject to civil <br />service rules and regulations and the approval of the City Council; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on August 2, 1982, the City Council passed and <br />adopted Resolution No. 82-110 revising and reestablishing the Basic <br />Classification and Compensation Plan for Officers and Employees of <br />the City of Santa Ana; and on November 18, 1996, passed and adopted <br />Resolution No. 96-095, establishing the Basic Classification and <br />Compensation Plan for classes of employment designated as <br />unrepresented Administrative Management (AM); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a survey of salaries and organizational structure of <br />code enforcement operations in comparable jurisdictions throughout <br />the State has revealed the need to make certain changes in the <br />Planning & Building Agency's organizational structure; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, to implement these structural changes, it is the <br />City's desire to appropriately classify and compensate the position <br />which will assume greater responsibility in administering the <br />City's Community Preservation function; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is now desired to: <br /> <br />designate the represented title of Community Preservation <br />Coordinator as unrepresented Administrative Management <br />(AM) in order to clearly distinguish it from other <br />management and non-management classes; and <br /> <br />2 o <br /> <br />allocate this position to a pay level commensurate with <br />the responsibilities and duties performed. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is <br />hereby further amended by deleting the represented class title of <br />Community Preservation Coordinator, to transfer it to Resolution <br />No. 96-095. <br /> <br /> 2. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 96-095 is hereby amended <br />by: <br /> <br /> <br />
