O75 <br /> <br />Facts in Support of the Finding <br />Episodes of high noise levels associated with construction activities will not be continuous <br />throughout the day and will be reduced to a less than significant level through the following <br />mitigation measures: <br /> <br />The applicant shall comply with the requirement of the City's noise ordinance and refrain <br />from conducting exterior construction activity between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. <br />on weekdays and Saturdays or any time on Sunday or Federal Holidays. <br /> <br />All equipment shall have sound-control devices no less effective than those provided on the <br />original equipment. No equipment shall have unmuffied exhaust. <br /> <br />As directed by the City, the contractor shall implement appropriate additional noise <br />mitigation measures including, but not limited to, changing the location of stationary <br />construction equipment, shutting off idling equipment, rescheduling construction activity, <br />notifying adjacent residents in advance of construction work, or installing acoustic barriers <br />around stationary construction noise sources. <br /> <br />PUBLIC SER VICES <br /> <br />Significant Effect <br /> <br />The project may be impacted by criminal activity that occurs within Santiago Creek. <br /> <br />Finding I: <br /> <br />Changes or alterations have been required in, or incorporated into, the project which <br />avoid or substantially lessen the significant environmental effect identified in the <br />Final E1R. <br /> <br />Facts in Support of the Finding <br />Santiago Creek is often used as an access corridor for criminal activity and high transient populations <br />and theft rotes are associated with the Santiago Creek area. If access between the Creek and the <br />parking areas is unobstructed, there would be a very high potential for thefts and other criminal <br />activity to take place.
