This study shall <br />be submitted to the City of Santa Ana Police Department, Crime Prevention Sergeant. <br /> <br />To minimize excessive light and glare, building exteriors shall utilize a Iow reflective glass. <br />Mirrored glass and other highly reflective building materials shall not be utilized on the <br />exterior of the building. <br /> <br />Exterior building courts and corridor illumination'shall be designed to minimize intrusive <br />glare at nearby residences. Low level security lights shall be used along driveway <br />entrances. <br /> <br />All outdoor lighting other than identification signage shall be directed from the perimeter <br />of the property toward buildings and parking areas utilizing cut-off fixtures. <br /> <br />Plant materials, shade structures and other architectural design features shall be used <br />where appropriate to decrease reflectivity ofhardseape and light and glare toward adjacent <br />residences. <br /> <br />AESTHETICS <br /> <br />Significant Effect <br /> <br />The project will aesthetically affect the existing south views of the project site from the second <br />floor residences adjacent to the project..Open views will be replaced by views of parking lot or <br />rear of buildings for those residents adjacent to and north, northeast and northwest of the site. <br /> <br />Changes or alterations have been required in, or incorporated into, the project <br />which avoid or substantially lessen the significant environmental effect identified in <br />the Final E1R. <br /> <br />Facts in Support of the Finding <br /> <br />The potential aesthetic impacts with the project can be reduced to a level of insignificance with <br />incorporation of the following mitigation measures: <br /> <br />The City shall approve a landscaping plan prior to the issuance of building permits. Trees <br />as determined by City Planning Division staff shall be planted in the landscape area along <br />the north project boundary to buffer the project from adjacent residents. <br /> <br />Prior to issuance of a grading permit the project applicant shall replace the existing 6 foot <br />wall along the north project boundary with an 8 foot high wall along the north project <br />boundary. <br /> <br />16 <br /> <br /> <br />
