187 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 97- 028 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA TO AMEND <br />RESOLUTION NOS. 82-110 AND 91-066 TO EFFECT CERTAIN CHANGES TO THE <br />CITY'S BASIC CLASSIFICATION AMD COMPENSATION PLAN FOR OFFICERS AND <br />EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the <br />City of Santa Aha requires the City to prepare, install and <br />maintain a position classification and pay plan subject to civil <br />service rules and regulations and the approval of the City Council; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on August 2, 1982, the City Council passed and <br />adopted Resolution No. 82-110 revising and re-establishing the <br />Basic Classification and Compensation Plan for all officers and <br />employees of the City of Santa Ana; and on July 1, 1991, passed and <br />adopted Resolution No. 91-066, re-establishing the Basic <br />Classification and Compensation Plan for classes of employment <br />designated as unrepresented executive and middle management; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, with the adoption of the annual budget for Fiscal <br />Year 1997-98, the City Council authorized certain organizational, <br />staffing, and compensation changes which affect a number of class <br />titles in the City's Basic Classification and Compensation Plan for <br />classes of employment contained in Resolution Nos. 82-110 and 91- <br />066; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is now desired to amend said Resolutions to effect <br />these changes; and <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is <br />hereby further amended by: <br /> <br /> a. Deleting the following vacant and now obsolete <br />classification titles: <br /> <br />Neighborhood Improvement Coordinator <br />Neighborhood Improvement Specialist I <br />Neighborhood Improvement Specialist II <br />Real Estate officer II <br />Senior Real Estate officer <br /> <br /> b. Adding, in proper alphabetical sequence, the <br />following classification titles at the monthly salary rate ranges <br />indicated: <br /> <br /> <br />
