MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TaE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNT_A April 1, 1963 The meetl~ was called to order at 7:30 p.m. Roll call was answered by Cou~cil~en Eubbard, Schlueter, Gilmore, Brewer, and Mayor w-il. Following the Pledge of Allegiance to the Fla~; the Invocation was dmlivered by ~r. ~arry Om, South Santa Ama Church of Christ. MINUTES APPROVAL meeting held March 18, 1963, acres to 8.173 acres. On motion of Counc~lm=- Eabbard, seconded by CoBnc~lma~ Schlueter and carried, the City Council approved the minutes of the regular subject to correction on pa~e 60 from 8,173 BID AWARD - FIRST STR~sl' On motion of Councilm-n Hubbard, DEMOLITION seconded by Councilman Schlueter and carried, Council received and ordered filed a report of bids received for the demolition of buildings on the north side of First Street between Evergreen Street and the Pacific Electric Railroad; approved award of contract to Self Wrecking & Supply, Inc. in the amount of $3,737.00; and rejected a]l other bids. BID AWARD - VALVES On motion of Councilm~ Hubbard, seconded by Councilman Schlueter and carried, Council received and ordered filed a report of bide received for the furnishing of valve requir-ments for Fiscal Year 1963, Spec. No. 664-9; approved award of contract to Pacific States Cast Iron Pipe Co. at unit prices as follows: 4" ~ $33.65, 6" ~ $50.55, 8" $ $78.16, 10" ~ $122.20, and 12" ~ $160.53; and rejected all other bids. BID AWARD - WAT~ HYI~h~NTS On motion of Counc~:m-u Hubbard, seconded by Counc~lm-- Schlueter and carried, Council received and ordered filed a report of bids received for the furnishing of water hydrants for Fiscal Year 196~, Spec. No. 633-9; approved award of contract to Pacific States Cast Iron Pipe Co. at the unit price of $11~.34 each; and rejected all other bids. I~%RING Mayor Wall opened the hearing on AM~. APP. 428 Amendment Application 4~8 filed by Burgraf Company, Inc. for amendment of Sectional District Map 17-5-9 to reclassify property approxtm-tely 1~0 feet west of the southwest corner of East FirSt Street and Tustin Avenue from the R 3 to the C 2 District. There being no response to the Mayor's call for testimony, the hearing was closed. It was moved by Counc~lm-- Hubbard, seconded by Councilm~n Schlueter and carried, that Council approve the reclassification and instruct the City Attorney to prepare an appropriate amending ordinance according to Exhibit AA 4S8-C.
