MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />June 17, 1963 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. Roll call was answered by <br />Councilmen Harvey, Gilmore, Schlueter and Hubbard. Mayor Hall was absent. <br />Following the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, the Invocation was delivered <br />by the Reverend Daniel Rider, First Baptist Chmrch. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVAL <br /> <br />On motion of Counc~lm-~ Harvey, seconded <br />by Councilman Schlueter and carried, the <br />City Council approved the Minutes of the <br />Regular Meeting of June 3, 1963, as mailed. <br /> <br /> LIABILITY INSURANCE Council received the City Manager's report <br />g~· of proposals received for liability insurance <br /> coverage for the three-year period beginni~ <br /> July 1, 1963. It was moved by Councilman <br /> Gilmore, seconded by Counc~lm~n Schlueter and carried, that the report be <br /> received and filed, that the contract be awarded to Allstate Insurance, and all <br /> other proposals be rejected. <br /> <br />FLOW C0~TEOL On motion of Councilman Harvey, seconded by <br />FACILITIE~ Councilman Schlueter and carried, Council <br />j?~ received and ordered filed a report of bids <br /> received for pressure reducing and flow <br /> control facilities; approved award of contract to the Hood Corporation in the <br /> amount of $192,751.00; and rejected all other bids. <br /> <br /> LEGAL ADVERTISING On motion of Councilman Harvey, seconded by <br />j~ Councilman Schlueter and carried, Council <br /> received and ordered filed a report of the <br /> one hid received for legal advertising and <br /> approved award of the contract to The Register. <br /> <br />HEARING - APPEALS $6 Vice Mayor Hubbard opened the hearing on an <br />and 87 V.A. 1773 - appeal filed by John Dykstra objecting to <br />DYK~TRA & MINTER the height of a sign approved by Plan~ing <br /> C~ission in Variance Application 1773, <br />at 1320 N. Grand.
