CULTURAL RESOURCES There are no known on-site prehistoric or paleontological resources. No impacts are anticipated. Mitigation Measures/Monitoring Required: None Required The proposed project is located within a historic district in downtown Santa Aha. The General Plan Land Use Element, Historic Resources Map identifies the project area as a historic site. Since currently no historical buildings exist on the site, there is a potential for grading operations to uncover historical remains that could provide information important in prehistory. Additionally the site is located in an area of archeological sensitivity. Implementation of the following mitigation measure from the Land Use Element will reduce this impact to a level of significance. Mitigation Measures/Monitoring Required: 18. The City of Santa Aha shall require the monitoring of grading operations by a qualified archeologist when the site is reasonably suspected of containing such resources. If, as a result, evidence of resources is found, the property shall be made available for a reasonable period of time for salvage or known archeological, resources by qualified experts, organizations or educational institutions. de The project area is not known to be significant to any ethnic or social groups. No impacts are anticipated. Mitigation Measures/Monitoring Required~ None Required There are no existing religious or sacred structures of uses within the project area. No impacts are anticipated.
