MINUTE8 OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF TEE CIT~ COUNCIL OF TEE <br /> CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFOi~NIA <br /> <br />July 15, 1963 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 217 North <br />Main Street. Roll call was answered by Councilmen Hubbard, Harvey, Gilmore, <br />Schlueter, and Mayor Hall. Following the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, the <br />Invocation was delivered by the Reverend Billy Weeda, Camile Christian Church. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVAL <br /> <br />Om motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded <br />by CouncilmanSchlueter and carried, the <br />City Council approved the Mi~es of the <br />Regular Meeting of ~uly l, 1963, as mailed. <br /> <br />STREET RECONSTRUCTION Council received the City Manager's <br /> j~_ report of bids received for the <br /> reconstruction of Anahurst Place, <br /> Broadway to Main (Project C-86); Sixth <br /> Street, Eastside Avenue to Lyon Street <br />(Project C-87); and Huntzinger Avenue at Harbor (Project C-89). It was moved by <br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Council Harvey and carried, that the report be <br />received and ordered filed, that the contract be awarded to R. J. Noble Co. at <br />unit prices bid~ and all other bids be re,acted. <br /> <br />HEARING - AM~IDM~T <br />APPLICATION <br /> <br />Mayor Hall opened the hearing on <br />Amen~mant Application ~7 filed by <br />Eugene Good. friend to reclassify from the <br />A 1 to the R 1 District property on the <br />east and west sides of Linwood Avenue <br />between Fairhaven and Grovemont. <br /> <br />Commission Resolution 5630 recommended approval of Exhibit ~7-B which would <br />provide minimum lot size (60 foot width, 7200 square foot area). <br /> <br />The Clerk reported that proper notice of the hearing had Been given, that evidence <br />thereto was o~ file~ and that no written c~unications had Been received. There <br />being no response to the Mayor's call for testimony, the hearing was closed. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilmen Hubbard, seccadedby Councilman Gilmore and carried, the <br />City Council approved the reclassification and instructed the City Attorney to <br />prepare an amending ordinance according to Exhibit AA ~27-B. <br /> <br />HEARING - AME~DM~mT <br />APPLICATION ~50 <br />LINCOLN SAVINGS <br /> <br />Mayor Hall opened the heartnE on <br />Amendment Application ~50 filed by <br />LincoLn Savings and L~an Association to <br />reclassify from the R 1 to the R 1 B <br />District property ~n the west side of <br />Louise Street between 17th and Washington. <br /> <br />Planning Ceamission Resolution 5631 rec~'m~nded approval of applicant's proposal. <br /> <br />The Clerkreported that proper notice of the hearing had been given, that evidence <br />thereto was on file, and that no written c~unicatiems had been received.
