Regarding Attorney's office, that it w~uld be less ece~ical and actually i~possible to employ specialist fullt~ae who could handle ve~iety of special situations that arise; that the $10,000 allocati~a is not provided for payment for special counsel in Newport-Dyer annexatic~ proceedings. Regarding Police Metorcyelns, that meder~ trend is to use more cars except in special situations requiri~ ~aneuverability. Nrc Winter asked for ec~e assurance that a c~lete downtown lighting study would be commenced in ~he 1~-65 Bad,et. The City Maz~ger c~mented that such a study would cost about $700,000 and an allocation in the 1~-6~ Budget would be required for about Mr. Winter co~nented fux~cher on street improvements in the s~thern sections, saying that developers of ~d should be required to put in the improvements, and that more consideration should be ~iven to the area closer downtown.
