368 <br /> <br />Resolution No. 1999-058 <br />Page, 2 of 3 <br /> <br />As conditioned, the: variance will limit the number of overall signs on the <br />site. Approval of the variance does not prohibit the identification of the <br />business in an aesthetically appealing manner. Allowing a larger monument <br />sign while reducing the number of overall signs on the site help to maintain <br />an attractive gas station site. <br /> <br />Co <br /> <br />That the granting of a variance will not be materially detrimental to the public <br />welfare or injurious to surrounding property; <br /> <br />Granting a variance, as conditioned, will not be detrimental to the public <br />and surrounding properties by allowing the proposed signage to exceed the <br />size limits for monument signs. The approval of the monument sign <br />requires the applicant to remove a number of secondary signs, including <br />building identification and advertising signs, on the subject site. The <br />reduction of signs will visually enhance the service station property and the <br />surrounding visual environment. <br /> <br />That the granting of a variance will not adversely affect the General Plan of the <br />City; <br /> <br />The granting of the variance as conditioned will not adversely affect the <br />City's General Plan land use designation for the area because the approval <br />requires the applicant to remove a number of secondary signs, including <br />building identification and advertising signs, on the subject site. <br /> <br /> 2. Variance No. 99-07 is hereby approved, as conditioned in Exhibit A, attached <br />hereto and incorporated herein by reference, and based upon the aforementioned f'mdings. <br /> <br /> <br />
