Roll call was ~nawered by Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Harr~ H. <br />Harvey, James Gilmore, Henry H. Schlueter, and Mayor A. Allen Hall. Following <br />the Plebe of Allegiance to the Flag, the Invocation was delivered by the <br />ReveremA George Bm~diecker~ St. Peter's Lutheran Church. <br /> <br />On mo~ion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded <br />by Councilman Schlueter and carried, the <br />City C~Ancil approved as mailed the <br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting of September <br />3, 1963. <br /> <br />Bl~ AWARD STREET On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded <br />MAInTenanCE UNIT by CounciLman Schlueter and carried, <br /> Council received and ordered filed a <br /> report of bids received for furnishin~ one <br />ce~l~lete Street Mainte-a-ce Unit consisting of a 22,000 G. V. W. Rated Truck <br />Chassis, 1~ B~, Emulsion Sprayer and other related items; approved award <br />of contract to International Harvester Company in the amount of $8,731.5~; an~ <br />rejected all other bids. <br /> <br />BID AWARD - 'r~o~ On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded <br /> by Councilma- Schlueter and carried, <br /> Council received and ordered filed a report <br /> of bids received for furnishing one truck - <br />19,500 G. V. I~. Rating (Cab and Chassis only); approved award of contract to <br />International Harvester C~mpany in the amount of $2,836.34; and rejected all <br />~ther bids. <br /> <br />BID AWARD - R(%~-?-~ On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded <br /> by Councilman Schlueter and carried, <br /> Council received and ordered filed a report <br /> of bids received for furnishing one Tande~ <br />Maintenance Roller; approved award of contract to M. P. McCaffrey, in the amount <br />of $~,$57.00; and rejected all other bids. <br /> <br /> JR/J <br />APPEAL APP. 91 Mayor Hall opened the hearing on Appeal <br /> Application 91 filed by A. H. Gallardo from <br /> the P]~ming Commission's approval of Variance <br /> Application 1802 (American Pipe and Construction <br />Cceapa~y) to construct a 72 foot high concrete hatching facility and a storage <br />eleveter at 2501 West Fifth Street. The Clerk reported that notice of the hearing <br />was given by the pi---ins Department and that no objections had been received. <br /> <br />The Clerk reported that a letter dated September 13, 1963 had been received fram <br />Peter Van Fmu-am, Division ~anager of the American Pipe and Construction C~mpany, <br />requesting & four-week contin---ce to permit time to analyze econ~aic factors <br />involve~ in ~roving the property.
