325 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000-067 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA TO AMEND RESOLUTION NO. 91-066 TO <br />ADD ONE TITLE TO THE CITY'S BASIC CLASSIFICATION/ <br />COMPENSATION PLAN FOR EXECUTIVE AND MIDDLE <br />MANAGEMENT, AND TO AMEND THE ANNUAL BUDGET <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana <br />requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classification and <br />pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval of the City <br />Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on July 1, 1991, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution <br />No. 91-066 re-establishing the Basic Classification and Compensation Plan for classes <br />of employment designated as unrepresented Executive Management (EM) and Middle <br />Management (MM); and <br /> <br /> VVHEREAS, on June 19, 2000, the City Council passed and adopted Ordinance <br />No. NS-2431, which establishes the City's Annual Budget, authorizing position <br />allocations for Fiscal Year 2000-01, and which sets forth the requirement that alterations <br />in the allocation of authorized positions be reviewed and approved by the City Council; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to increase the City's efficiency and effectiveness in <br />providing development services to the community, the City Manager proposes <br />establishment of the new unrepresented executive management classification of <br />Deputy City Manager for Development Services, which shall also serve as the executive <br />director of the Planning and Building Safety Agency; and <br /> <br /> VVHEREAS, it is now desired to amend Council Resolution No. 91-086 and the <br />Fiscal Year 2000-01 Annual Budget in order to effect this change. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA: <br /> <br />That Section 3A of Resolution No. 91-066, as amended, is hereby further <br />amended by: <br /> <br />adding the following unrepresented classification title at the salary <br />rate range effective dates indicated: <br /> <br />Class Title <br />Deputy City Manager for <br />Development Services <br /> <br />15 Step Salary Rate Ran,qe Effective <br />10-1-00 Annual 7-1-01 <br />No. (Min-Max) No. <br /> <br />EM-34 ($91,044-128,628) * <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2000-067 <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
