Roll call was answerecl by Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard; Harl~ H. <br />Harvey, James Gilmore, Henry H. Schlueter; and Mayor A. Allen Hall. Followin~ <br />the Ple4~e of Allegiance to the Flag, the Invocation was delivered by the <br />Reverend Fred Nie4ringhaus; Congregational Church. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MIFu~E8 <br /> <br />On motion of Cotmcilman ~ubbar~%; seconded <br />by Council-~ Harvey and carried; the <br />Minutes of the Regular ~eeti~ of February <br />17; 1~ ware approve~ as mailed. <br /> <br />BID AWARD - On motion of Councilman Hubl~r~l; seconded <br />~OTORC~CLE by COUnCilma- HarVey and carried; Council <br /> received and or~ere~ filed a report of the <br /> bid received for furnishin~ a motoroycle <br />for police use; approved award of the contract to Harley-I~vidson Motors in <br />the amount of $1,~3.34. <br /> <br />BID AWAt~D - On motion of Councilman Hubbard; seconded <br />STREET ~ION by Councilman Harvey --~ carried~ Council <br /> received and oxxlered filed a report of the <br /> bid received for furnishing machinery <br />labor to apply emulsion to street areas; approve(% award of the contract to <br />G. J. Poyne Corporation in the amount of $0.135 per sq. yd.~ totall~ <br />$~$~9.~6 for an estimated 43,333 sq. <br /> <br />c~? <br />BID AWABD - On motion of Coxtuci~mau Gilmore, seconded <br />AUTOMOB/W.wa by Councilman Hubbard an~ carried, Council <br /> received amd ordered filed a tabulation <br /> of bids received for furnishing five ~-door <br />sedans equipped for police use; accepted the bid of George Dunton, Incorporated <br />as the lowest and best bid in the amount of $2,1~3.3~ per unit, with a trade-in <br />credit of $~00.00 each for five automobiles; and rejected all other l~i~s. <br /> <br />HEAR~G - APPEAL 118 Mayor Hall opened the hearing continued <br />RE~NOSO - V.A. 1872 from February 17~ 196~ on Appeal 118 filed <br /> by the Director of Public Works from the <br /> Planning CO~-w, ission' S approval without <br />conditions of Variance 1872 (Reynoso & Co. application to construct eight 4- <br />unit apartment buildings on separate C 2 iota at 1619-16B3 W. Walnut).' <br /> <br />The Planning Director reported that the Planni~ C_~.?mission had reconsidered <br />its action and now recommended the attachment of conditions outlined in report <br />dated March 2, 196~. Dca Fr-,w~in, 2450 Riverside Drive, was present represent- <br />lng the applicant. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Councilman Harvey and carried, <br />Council overruled the action of the Planning Cc*-w~esion and instructed the City <br />Attorney to prepare a resolution granting Variance Application 1872 subject <br />to the conditions described in the Plan~ing Director's report dated March 2, 196~. <br />CITY COUNCIL - 333 - March 2, 1964 <br /> <br /> <br />
