Shirley E. Harrison
from the Zoning Administrator's denial
of Variance Application 1~ to construct
a carport in the front yard setback area and to reduce the required distance between
buildings at 1142-11~4 S. Main Street, attorney, represented the appellant, outlining
the need for constructing a carport in the setback area, and stating the addition
of two bedrocks to the front house would increase its rental value and would rectify
the error of having a smaller house at the front. He noted it seemed better to
have a six foot space between the two houses than to change the structures into
a duplex, which was permissible under R 2.

Larry &~w~ers, 1138~ Golden West, property owner directly north, spoke in opposition
to the application.
