PETITION 0n motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded <br /> by Councilm-~ Harvey and carried, Council <br /> received and ordered referred to the City <br /> Manager for investigation and report, <br />petitions filed by Mrs. Dixie Graves, 4722 W. Oakfield, regarding poor trash <br />pickup in area; hazardous street conditicus at Hazard and Euclid; dogs running <br />at large; businesses being conducted at certain residences; and a request for <br />the esttmate per runn~lg foot for sidewalks and curbs. <br /> <br />STREET REI~24ENT On motion of CouncJl-~u Hubbard, seconded <br /> by Councilman Gilmore and carried, Council <br /> authorized reimbursement to Mobil Oil <br /> Company of $1,802.50 for street improvements <br />constructed on the southeast corner of Warner and Fairview in excess of local <br />street requirements. <br /> <br />SOLICITATION REQUESTS <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded <br />by Councilman Schlueter and carried, <br />solicitation requests were approved as <br />follows: <br /> <br />American Cancer Society to solicit funds during the month of April. <br /> <br />Or-nEe County Association for Mental Health to solicit funds April 26 <br />through May, 1964. <br /> <br />Cub Scout Pack 283 to conduct cake sale at Honer Plaza on March 28th. <br /> <br />U.S. CONF. OF MAYORS On motion of Councilman Harvey, seconded <br /> by Councilman Schlueter and carried, <br /> Council authorized Vice Mayor Hubbard to <br /> attend the annual meeting of the U. S. <br />Conference of Mayors in New York City May 2~ - 27, 196~, at City expense. <br /> <br /> ~ 7.2- <br />CITY FLAG <br /> <br />On motion of Councilma~ Hubbard, seconded <br />by Councilman Schlueter and carried, <br />Council received and ordered filed a <br />commmmication frc~ Paramount Flag Company <br />regarding a flag for the City. <br /> <br />CLAIM - GABBER Onmotion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded <br /> by Councilman Schlueter and carried, <br /> Council received and referred to the <br /> Clty Attorney a claim filed byRose <br />Gamber for personal injury allegedly caused by a hole in the pavement at Hush <br />and Fifth, in the amount of $1,000 plus medical expenses. <br /> <br />~ 7F <br />CITIZEN~ ADVISORT On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded <br />CO~L~'I'~'EE by Councilman Schlueter and carried, <br /> Council received and referred to the <br /> Planning Commission for recommendation a <br />co~mmication frc~ Fern Ztmmerman offering to serve on the Citizens Advisory <br />C~ittee for the General Plan Program. <br /> <br />SALARY ~NCREASE~ On motion of Councilm~u Hubbard, seconded <br /> hy Councilm-~ Schlueter and carried, <br /> Council approved the City Manager's report <br /> dated February 21, 1964 recommending <br />salary increases for meritorious service. <br />CIT~ COUNCIL - 339 - March 2, 196~ <br /> <br /> <br />
