Four of the gateways were selected because Public <br />Works Agency has road improvements that are occurring at these <br />sites. An aerial map of the site is presented .alon9 with <br />recommended design criteria for each of these gateways. <br /> <br />Gateway 3 - Seventeenth Street at Tustin <br /> <br />Off-site Improvements: An entryway monument would be placed on <br />the median on Seventeenth Street to the west Of the Tustin <br />intersection. A portion of the southeast corner of the <br />intersection would be developed with a landscaped berm planted <br />with pine trees, shrubs and groundcover. The entryway monument <br />and other landscaping improvements would be funded as part of <br />the Capital Improvement Projects administered by the Public <br />Works Agency. <br /> <br />On-site Improvements: Create landscape berms on the northwest, <br />northeast, and southeast corners of the intersection planted <br />with a ring of pine trees, shrubs and groundcover; the berms <br />could feature small curved signs that would mirror one another; <br />an art piece might be designed into the southeast corner of the <br />intersection; the southwest corner of the intersection would <br /> <br /> <br />
