CROSSING GUARD <br />HAZARD SCHOOL <br /> <br />guard at the Hazard Elementary School. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Glenn G. Richard, 4218 W. <br /> Hazard, President of the R. F. <br /> Hazard Parent-Teacher Association, <br />discussed the need for a crossing <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded <br /> <br />by CouncJlm-u Schlueter and carried, Council received and ordered filed a petition <br />requesting a crossing guard signed by approxtm-tely 368 persons, presented by <br />Mrs. Richard. <br /> <br />The City Manager stated that traffic is even more hazardous at this school than <br />at Rosita School, and a crossing guard was warranted. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Councllm~ Schlueter and carried, <br />Council authorized establishment of an adult crossing guard, effective ~-w~diately, <br />for the remainder of the school year, and for the next school year, during which <br />time efforts will be mede to establish a school boy patrol program. <br /> <br />PLANICED DEVELOPMENT On motion of Counc~lm~n Hubbard, <br /> seconded by Councilman Schlueter amd <br /> carried, Council received and ordered <br /> filed the Planning C~mml esion's <br />rec~.mendation that the Zoning Ordinance be amended by adopting a new land use <br />suffix for Pl-~ed Development in the R 1 district to provide for residential <br />develolmaents on large sites and to foster greater land utilization while increasing <br />the desirability of the ~evelolmnent. Council noted that the new suffix would be <br />presented at the next Council meeting. <br /> <br />BID C~v.?-~ On motion of Counc~lm-- Hubbard, <br /> seconded by Oounc~ lma~ Schlueter and <br /> carried, Council authorized the <br /> proper authorities to advertise <br />for bids to be opened on ~Une l, 1964, for the following: <br /> <br />Domestic Water Meters - Spec. 665-13 <br />C~pound Water Meters - Spec. 665-14 . <br />Gate Valves - Spec. 66~-10 <br />Cast Iron Pipe - Spec. ~1-22 <br />Flan~ed Cast Iron Pipe Fittings - Spec. 481-23 <br />Cast Iron Pipe Fittings - Spec. <br />Backflow Preventers & Check Valves - Spec. 665-15 <br />Fire Ey~rant Re~uirements, Fiscal 64-65 - Spec. 633-10 <br />Electrical ?~a~.
