bk:1/10/2002 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2002-004 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO SUBMIT GRANT APPLICATION FOR <br />THE RIPARIAN AND RIVERINE HABITAT GRANT <br />PROGRAM UNDER THE SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD PARKS, <br />CLEAN WATER, CLEAN AIR, AND COASTAL <br />PROTECTION BOND ACT OF 2000 FOR THE SANTIAGO <br />PARK WOODLANDS RESTORATION PROJECT <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines <br />and declares as follows: <br /> <br />The People of the State of California, have enacted the Riparian and Riverine <br />Habitat Grant Program, which provides funds to the State of California for <br />grants to local agencies and federally recognized California Indian tribes to <br />increase public recreational access, awareness, understanding, enjoyment, <br />and protection of California's irreplaceable rivers and streams. <br /> <br />The California Department of Parks and Recreation has been delegated the <br />responsibility for the administration of the grant program, setting up necessary <br />procedures. <br /> <br />Said procedures established by the California Department of Parks and <br />Recreation require the City of Santa Ana to,certify by resolution the approval <br />of the application before submission of said application to the State. <br /> <br />D. The City of Santa Ana will enter into the contract with the State of California <br /> for the project. <br /> <br /> Section 2. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby approves the <br />submittal of an application to the California Department of Parks and Recreation for the <br />Riparian and Riverine Habitat Program to be used for the Santiago Park Woodlands <br />Restoration project. <br /> <br /> Section 3. The City Council of the City of Santa Aha hereby certifies that the <br />Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Agency has or will have sufficient funds to <br />operate and maintain the project. <br /> <br /> Section 4. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana certifies that the Parks, <br />Recreation, and Community Services Agency has reviewed, understands and agrees to <br />the general provisions contained in the contract shown in the procedural guide. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2002-004 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
