RESOLUTION NO. 2002-011 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CiTY OF <br />SANTA ANA TO RECLASSIFY ONE POSITION, AMEND <br />RESOLUTION NOS. 82-110 AND 91-066 TO CHANGE THE <br />TITLES OF SEVERAL ENGINEERING CLASSIFICATIONS, <br />AND AMEND THE CURRENT ANNUAL BUDGET <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana <br />requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position <br />classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations <br />and the approval of the City Council. <br /> <br />On August 2, 1982, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. <br />82-110 revising and re-establishing the Basic Classification and <br />Compensation Plan for Officers and Employees of the City of Santa Ana. <br /> <br />C= <br /> <br />On July 1, 1991, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. 91- <br />066, re-establishing the Basic Classification and Compensation Plan for <br />classes of employment designated as unrepresented Executive <br />Management (EM) and Middle Management (MM). <br /> <br />D= <br /> <br />On June 18, 2001, the City Council passed and adopted Ordinance No. <br />NS-2474, which establishes the City's Annual Budget, authorizing position <br />allocations for Fiscal Year 2001-2002, and which sets forth the <br />requirement that alterations in the allocation of authorized positions be <br />reviewed and approved by the City Council. <br /> <br />The City Manager proposes to reclassify one (1) full time position and to <br />reallocate that position to an existing classification in the current Annual <br />Budget. <br /> <br />F. The Executive Director of the Public Works Agency proposes title changes <br /> to Several enginee~r~ng classifications. <br /> <br />G. It is now desired to amend Council Resolutions No. 82-110, as amended, <br /> No. 91-066, as amended, and the Fiscal Year 2001-2002 Budget, as <br /> amended, in order to effect these changes. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2002-011 <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
