It was moved by CouncilmarA Hubbard, seconded by Councilm-- Schlueter and carried, that the Council decline to take any action at this t~ae. ADVISORY C0~'1'£~ On motion of Councilman Hubbard, I~ESIGNATt0N seconded by Councilman Schl~.,eter and carried, Council accepted the resignation of Gor~on Bricken frc~ the Citizens Advisory Committee because of his recent appointment to the plauning Co~aission, and directed that a letter he written thanking him for his service to the community in this capacity. SCAG Council consi~lered the proposal for establishment of the Southern California Association of Governments (all cities and counties within area of the counties of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, S~n Bernar~ino, an~ Ventura) to provide a forum for discussion, study, an~ develol~aent of recca~en~atious on regional problems regarding the orderly physical develol~aent of the Southern California Region. It was moved by Councllm-B Hubbard, seconded by Councilman Schlueter ~u~ carried, that the Council indicate its probable intention to go along with the proposal for SCAG. A~ERICAN MUNICIPAL CONGRESS On motion of C~ancilmau Hubbarcl, seconded by Councilman Schlueter an~ carried, Council authorized the atte~a--ce of one Councilman at City expense at the annual congress sponsore~ try the American l~mnicipal Association, July 25-29, 1~6~, in ~"'~ Beach.
