Will the proposed use under the circumstances of the particular <br />case be detrimental to the health, safety, or general welfare of <br />persons residing or working in the vicinity? <br /> <br />The proposed parking structure will not be detrimental to <br />persons residing or working in the area because the use, as <br />conditioned, will not create any negative or adverse impacts. <br />The addition of available parking to the surrounding <br />neighborhoods will enhance the safety and general welfare <br />of persons residing or working in the area. Moreover, <br />conditions are imposed to mitigate any potential impacts to <br />those in the vicinity. <br /> <br />Will the proposed use adversely affect the present economic <br />stability or future economic development of properties surrounding <br />the area? <br /> <br />The proposed parking structure is located within the <br />Civic/Professional District of the Midtown Specific Plan. The <br />land use for this site has been designated for a parking <br />structure within the Specific Plan. The development of this <br />facility will increase accessible parking, thereby enhancing <br />the profitability of the business and identifying the use and <br />site as economically stable and viable for the surrounding <br />properties in the area. <br /> <br />Will the proposed use comply with the regulations and conditions <br />specified in Chapter 41 for such use? <br /> <br />The parking structure has been designed to be in <br />compliance with the regulations and conditions identified in <br />the Midtown Specific Plan, Chapter 41, for parking structures <br />and all other applicable design standards. <br /> <br />Will the proposed use adversely affect the General Plan or any <br />specific plan of the City? <br /> <br />The proposed structure will not adversely affect the General <br />Plan, as parking structures, designed to be compatible with <br />the surrounding environment, are consistent with the goals <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2002-109 <br />Page 2 of 6 <br /> <br /> <br />
