Mrs. Longnecker, displaying a diagram off the area, explained the problems <br />caused by Jay walking, lack of sidewalks and crosswalks, inadequate posting <br />of speed limits, and the reckless driving of teenagers and requested that the <br />warrant requirements be waived because of the unusual circumstances. On <br />motion of Councilm-n Gilmore, seconded by Councilman Harvey and carried, <br />Council asked the Manager to-reconsider the area and report back to Council. <br /> <br />SIGNAL The Manager reported regarding the <br /> request from John Adams PTA for <br /> crossing signal at intersection of <br /> S. Pacific and Warner, recommending <br />that no determination be made until completion of the school and knowledge of <br />the location and number of children ~ available. <br /> <br />Mrs. Richard Stevens, 1529 Wo Warner, Safety Chairman, Adams PTA, outlined <br />the hazards of the area and urged Council to make am early decision. The <br />Manager informed her that the staff would be in touch with the school district <br />for information as soon as it is available. <br /> <br />Tentative Tract Map ~000 was filed <br />by The Meredith Company creating <br />sixty-seven R 4 lots on the south <br />side of Santa Clara, west of Tustln. <br /> <br />Mrs. Sally Rosan, 1534 Eo 21st, was given an explanation of tract map procedures <br />in answer to a number of questions. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Councilm-n Schlueter and carried, <br />Council approved Tentative Tract Map ~000, subject to the conditions described <br />in the Planning Director's report dated August 14, 1~64o <br /> <br />ORD. NS-759 ORDINANCE NS-759 DECLARING THE <br />"SANTA CLARA & TUSTIN RESULT OF 'ram CANVASS OF Tam RETURNS <br />N. w.
