MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />December 7, 1964 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 217 N. <br />Main Street. Roll call was answered by Councilmen Royal Eo Hubbard, Harry H. <br />Harvey, James Gilmore, Henry Ho Schlueter, and Mayor A. Allen Hall. Following <br />the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, the Invocation was delivered by the <br />Reverend Jay Weener, Parkview Reformed Church. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />On motion of CounciLman Hubbard, <br />seconded by Councilman Schlueter <br />and carried, the Minutes of the <br />Regular Meeting of November 16, <br />1964 were approved as mailed. <br /> <br />BID AWARD - 17th On motion of Councilman Hubbard, <br />STREET RAMP seconded by Councilman Schlueter <br /> and carried, Council ordered <br /> filed report of bids received for <br />construction at 17th and Valencia, Project C-102; approved award of contract <br />to Coxco, Incorporated at unit prices, and rejected all other bids. <br /> <br />BID AWARD - On motion of Councilman Hubbard, <br />A.D. 220 seconded by Councilman Schlueter <br />RES° 64-191 and carried, Council ordered <br /> filed a report of bids received <br />for the construction of sanitary sewers in Assessment District 220. Bids <br />were received from the following: <br /> <br />Orange County Pipeline, Inc. <br />Ralph De Leon Constr. <br />Famco Constr. Co. <br />AoA~A. Constr. Coo <br />Card Constr. Co. <br />City Constr. COo <br />Charles L. Burch & Sons Inc. <br /> <br />$160,829.40 <br />$117,828.60 <br />$171,266.60 <br />$134,286.00 <br />$129,394.00 <br />$167,897.00 <br />$168,157.oo <br /> <br />Council indicated its concurrence with the staff recommendation to make the <br />award to the low bidder, Ralph De Leon Construction Ccmpany. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 64-191 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA~ <br />AWARDING CONTRACT FOR WORK OR IMPROV~ ORDERED BY RESOLUTION NO. 64-159 <br />was read by title. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Councilman Harvey that further <br />reading be waived and Resolution 64-191 be adopted.
