<br />7.2 <br /> <br />7.3 <br /> <br />7.4 <br /> <br />Lift and Dump Test shall verify the cart's <br />compatibility with approved, commercially available, <br />standard dumping equipment. Test shall be performed at <br />room temperature with a cycle time that simulates lift, <br />dump and return of 6 seconds. Carts shall remain <br />watertight and functional beyond 6,000 cycles. Test <br />loads are as follows: <br /> <br />size A: <br />Size B: <br />Size C: <br /> <br />160 lbs. distributed <br />250 lbs. distributed <br />350 lbs. distributed <br /> <br />Wheel/Axle Test - shall verify the combined durability of <br />the wheels, axle and cart axle supports under fully <br />loaded conditions. The two cycle tests shall be <br />performed at room temperature as follows: <br /> <br />cycle 1 - with a rolling length of 75 feet and a 5" curb <br />drop. Cart shall continue to roll freely and be <br />watertight after 1,000 drops. <br /> <br />Cycle 2 - repeated with a 5.5" stair drop. Cart shall <br />continue to roll freely and be watertight after 1,000 <br />drops. <br /> <br />Test loads shall be as follows: <br /> <br />size A: <br />Size B: <br />Size C: <br /> <br />125 lbs. distributed <br />200 lbs. distributed <br />350 lbs. distributed <br /> <br />salt Spray - ASTM B117-90 corrosion tests shall be <br />applied to the lift bracket for a minimum of 96 hours and <br />to the axle for a minimum of 500 hours. Bracket and axle <br />shall remain corrosion free. <br /> <br />serial Number/Manufacture Date: Each cart shall be hot <br />stamped with a seven digit, 1-~" high alpha/numeric <br />identification number on the front of the cart. An in-molded <br />year/month date wheel identification will be located on the <br />bottom of the cart. <br /> <br />8 . <br /> <br />9. <br /> <br />Markings: Each cart lid shall be clearly and permanently <br />marked with the cart's size or volume capacity. <br /> <br />9.1 <br /> <br />Precautionary instructions shall be molded into the lids <br />in English and Spanish as follows: <br /> <br />size A: <br /> <br />Cart Capacity 35 Gallons <br />Do not overload or you may have difficulty <br />controlling the cart. <br />Do not roll cart with lid open. <br />Do not put sand, soil, rocks or concrete in <br />cart. <br />
