<br />5. <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Wheels: Two (2) wheels with self-lubricating bearings with a <br />minimum load rating of 120 lbs. per wheel. Wheels shall be <br />attached to the axle via a tamper resistant snap-on method <br />which contains no metal components. No cotter pins, "Pal <br />nuts" or similar restraining devices shall be utilized to <br />attach the wheel. All wheels shall be 1. 15 inches wide. <br />Wheels shall be easily removed for replacement with a non- <br />commercially available tool. <br /> <br />Wheel Sizes: <br /> <br />size A: <br />Size B: <br />size C: <br /> <br />8 inches <br />10 inches <br />12 inches <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />Axles: Axles shall be solid steel and electro-plated with <br />black zinc for durability and long life. Carts should be <br />designed in such a way as to prevent the axle from popping <br />out. An axle, which is only press fitted and not secured in <br />some additional manner will not be acceptable. <br /> <br />Axle Sizes: <br /> <br />size A: <br />Size B: <br />size C: <br /> <br />5/8 inch <br />6/8 inch <br />1/8 inch <br /> <br />Lids: Lids shall be molded of the same material as the cart <br />body and shall be permanently attached to the cart body with <br />plastic hinge(s). Metal fasteners are not acceptable. Lids <br />shall be watertight and slightly domed to facilitate run-off <br />of rainwater. The lid shall be designed to fold over parallel <br />to the back side of the cart when fully opened. Lids shall be <br />factory assembled. <br /> <br />Locking Bar: The semi-automated lifting area shall be <br />integrally molded with the body of the cart. The locking bar <br />shall be able to rotate a full three-hundred sixty (360) <br />degrees and shall be constructed of zinc-coated steel to <br />prevent rust and corrosion. Plastic locking bars are <br />unacceptable. <br /> <br />certification by a certified independent laboratory shall be <br />required of the following minimum standards and quality <br />assurance measurements: <br /> <br />1.1 <br /> <br />Drop Impact Test - material and weight shaUl) be cold <br />soaked at a temperature of not less than -20 F for 24 <br />hours and dropped within 60 seconds of leaving the cold <br />chamber. Carts shall remain watertight after a minimum <br />drop height of 15 feet. Test loads are as follows: <br /> <br />size A: <br />Size B: <br />Size C: <br /> <br />120 lbs. distributed <br />160 lbs. distributed <br />180 lbs. distributed <br />
