New Miscellaneous Fees <br />FINANCE AND MANAGEMENT SERVICES AGENCY <br />4) Dog License — Duplicate Certificate Fee <br />Proposed Fee(s): $3.35 Per Certificate <br />Department: Treasury & Customer Service Division <br />The City presently charges $3.35 for issuance of a replacement dog tag. Establishing a <br />fee for reprinting a dog license certificate is considered an extension of the replacement <br />dog tag fee. This fee will help recoup costs associated with reprinting and mailing dog <br />license certificates. <br />5) Dog License - Non -Compliance Fee <br />Proposed Fee(s): $46.00 Per License <br />Department: Treasury & Customer Service Division <br />Currently, the County of Orange charges a $46.00 Non -Compliance Fee to dog owners <br />who require field enforcement for compliance with dog license requirements/laws. The <br />County of Orange administers its own dog -licensing ordinance for the areas of the <br />unincorporated county and is also the Contracted Dog License Enforcement Agent for <br />18 Orange County Cities, including Tustin, Garden Grove, Anaheim and Huntington <br />Beach. <br />The Orange County Animal Care Services Division assesses the $46.00 Non - <br />Compliance Fee in all 18 of its contract cities as well as throughout the unincorporated <br />county areas. They report that the assessment of this fee has proven to be a very <br />successful method to both expedite payment by chronic late payers and to recover field <br />enforcement costs. <br />6) Business License Tax Collection Fee <br />Proposed Fee(s): $40.00 Per Inspection <br />Department: Treasury & Customer Service Division <br />This fee is assessed based on salary and overhead costs for the license inspector to <br />perform the collection. The Business License Tax Collection Fee would be assessed and <br />collected at the time the Business License Tax Collector performs a field collection. <br />59 <br />
