A-2003-135 <br />INSURANCE ON FILE <br />WORK MAY PROCEED <br />UNTII,IsU ANCE EXPIRES <br />ti//to N <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL <br />DATE: rJ7s13 <br />�rbPr <br />AMENDMENT TO <br />CONSULTANT AGREEMENT <br />* THIS AMENDMENT TO CONSULTANT AGREEMENT, is entered into this <br />day of I Lk 2003, by and between Science Applications International <br />Corporation / SAIC, a Delaware corporation ("Consultant') and the City of Santa Ana, a <br />charter city and municipal corporation of the State of California ("City"). <br />Recitals: <br />A. The parties entered into Consultant Agreement No. A-2001-259, dated December 17, <br />2001, (hereinafter "said Agreement') by which Consultant has provided historic <br />property resource identification, evaluation and documentation. <br />B. The City, as an entitlement recipient and grantee of the United States Department of <br />Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") Community Development Block Grant <br />("CDBG") Program, desires to expend a portion of CDBG funds allocated for the <br />2003-04 fiscal year, to continue Consultants services in historic preservation, in <br />accordance with Title 24, Part 570 of the Code of Federal Regulations 24 CFR <br />570.000, et seq. ("CDBG REGS"). <br />C. In accordance with the terms and conditions of said Agreement, the parties wish to <br />extend the term of said Agreement for an additional sil(month period, amend the <br />Scope of Services, increase the compensation to pay for services during the extended <br />term and provide a new notice address for Consultant. <br />Wherefore, in consideration of the covenants contained in said Agreement, and subject <br />to all the terms and conditions of said Agreement, except those amended in this <br />Amendment to Consultant Agreement, the parties agree as follows: <br />1. Section 1, SCOPE OF SERVICES, shall be amended to read as follows: <br />"Consultant shall, through December 31, 2003, continue to perform those services as <br />set forth in Exhibit A to said Agreement. Consultant shall also perform those services <br />as set forth in Exhibit Al hereto, during the term from July 1, 2003 through June 30, <br />2004." <br />2. Section 2.a., COMPENSATION, shall be amended to read as follows: <br />"City agrees to pay and Consultant agrees to accept as total payment for its services, <br />the rates and charges identified in Exhibit A to said Agreement and Exhibit A- 1, <br />attached hereto, respectively. The total CDBG funds to be expended during the 2003- <br />04 fiscal year shall not exceed $72,224.00, which amount includes a ten percent <br />
