City of Santa Ana RFP for Traffic Counting Services, PROJECT 5512 <br />Understanding the Problem <br />General Requirements: <br />SCC proposes to provide the City of Santa Ana with; "24-hour single/dual-tube Machine Counts" <br />both on-call and citywide, "Manual Turning Movement and Pedestrian Counts°, "Speed Studies°, <br />"Classification Counts°, a "Traffic Census Booklet°, and a "Traffic Flow Map° as required in RFQ. <br />SCC has ample personnel and equipment to complete your anticipated requirements. <br />We understand the requirements of the proposed effort, value the importance of collecting <br />accurate traffic, and possess the knowledge for evaluating the reasonableness of the data and <br />final reports. <br />24-hour Average Daily Traffic (ADT) Counts (Sincle-tube. Dual-tube, and Citywide): <br />The approximate 280 dual-tube citywide locations can be completed within the two-month <br />period required. SCC has the capability to easily complete 25 simultaneous dual-tube <br />locations. All additional 24-hour dual/single-tube counts can easily be accomplished at any <br />time. Data collection wi11 be conducted in accordance with the RFP SOW. Reports will be <br />submitted in the specked formats and on 3'h° diskette. <br />Manual Turnin4 Movement and Pedestrian Counts: <br />SCC has sufficient personnel to complete the required 15 simultaneous Manual Turning <br />Movement /Pedestrian counts. Data collection will be conducted in accordance with the <br />RFP SOW. Reports will be submitted in the specified formats and on 3'/z" diskette. <br />Speed Surveys: <br />SCC has sufficient personnel and equipment to complete the required 10 simultaneous <br />Speed Surveys. Data collection will be conducted in accordance with the RFP SOW. <br />Reports will be submitted in the specified formats and on 3'/z" diskette. <br />Vehicle Classification: <br />SCC has sufficient personnel and equipment to complete the required 4 simultaneous <br />Vehicle Classification Studies.
