REFUSE COLI~TION The Manager's written report <br /> not being ready, on motion of <br /> Councilman Brooks, seconded by <br /> Councilman Gilmore and carr~ <br />Council deferred action on procedures and rates for service charge financing <br />of refuse collection, but set the matter for public hearing on October 18, 1965, <br />7:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber. The Manager was asked to have his written <br />report available as soon as possible. <br /> <br />FOPu%~ & SYSTEF~ The City Manager reported orally <br /> to Council regarding Chamber <br /> of Commerce recc~mendation <br /> that an objective study of <br />reporting and forms requirements of the City be made~ stating his written report <br />would recommend an analysis of possible computer use. <br /> <br />Mr. Bill Shockey, Chamber of Ccmm~erce representative, re-stated the recommendation <br />that a general overall study be made which would include automatic data processing <br />and accounting procedures but not be limited thereto. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Brooks, seconded by Councilman Markel and carried~ <br />Council deferred action on the matter to October 18~ 1965 for further study. <br /> <br />CLAIM S~'I-i~L~ - It was moved by Councilman <br />FINN Me24ichael~ seconded by <br /> Councilman Gilmore and carried, <br /> that the City of Santa Ana <br />accept from Kenneth N. Finn and Norma L. Finn the amount of $2~667.76 in full <br />settlement of its claim against said Kenneth N. and Norma L. Finn for damages <br />sustained by City by virtue of City's statutory obligation to maintain full <br />salary payments to Leon Edwin Wilber for one year from date of injury sustained <br />in the course of employment on October 2, 1964, and involving a vehicle owned <br />by Kenneth N. Finn and operated by Norma L. Finn; and that the City of Santa <br />Ana accept the amount of $672.88 in settlement of its claim for reimbursement <br />for property damage sustained by City of Santa Aha in the aforesaid accident~ <br />and that the City M~anager be authorized to execute on behalf of the City of <br />Santa Ana such documents as may be required to settle the City's claim. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT At 4:~0 p.m., on motion of <br /> Councilman Gilmore~ seconded <br /> by Councilman Markel and <br /> carried~ Council adjourned <br />to l:O0 p.m. October 4th, in the Council Chambers, 217 N.
