PRE. REC. OF SURVEY 434 On motion of Counci]mAn Markel, seconded by Councilman Burk and carried, Council approved Preliminary Record of Survey 43~ filed by Donn Calder to create two M i and M 2 parcels west of Grand on the south side of Hunter, subject to the conditions outlined in the Planning Director's report dated September 27, 1965, and waived alley requirement. PRE. REC. OF SURVEY 431 On motion of Councilman Markel, seconded by Councilman Bu~k and carried, Council approved Preliminary Record of Survey 431 filed by Norman K. Beals, Jr., M.D., and King Manor and Convalescent Hospital to create three C 2 parcels east of B~istol on the south side of Warner, subject to the conditions outlined in the Planning Director's report dated September 22, 1965, and waived alley requirement. PRE. REC. OF SURVEY 433 On motion of Councilman Markel, seconded by Councilman Burk and carried, Council approved Preliminary Record of Survey 433 filed by Erico, Inc. and T. R. Bolte Development, Inc. to create two M 1 parcels between Grand and the Southern Pacific Railroad and south of McFadden, subject to the conditions outlined in the Plmgning Director's report dated September 23, 1965, and waived alley requirement. SOLICITATION REQUESTS On motion of Councilman Gilmore, seconded by Councilman Burk and carried, Council approved the following solicitation requests: March of Dimes, for permission to conduct annual campaign door to door, mail, and coin containers January i to February 10, 1966. Santiago Girl Scout Council, annual calendar sale, November 5 through 20~ 1965. V(~ERS REGISTRATION On motiom of Councilman Mark l, seconded by Councilman Brooks and carried, Council commended the County Clerk and granted permission for placing voters registration interest cards in city libraries. RES. 65-158 ST. ABANDONMENT Council received Planning Commission recommendation that thirty feet of right of way on Mantle, south of 22nd Street be abandoned. RESOLUTION 65-156 APPROVING MAP AND DECLARING INTENTION TO VACATE STRE~'£' EIGHT OF WAY~ KNOWN ASMANTLE STP~EET, SOUTH OF TWENTY-SECOND STREET AND GIVING NOTICE OF HEARING TH~:~EON was read by title. It was moved by Councilman Gilmore, seconded by Councilman Brooks that further reading be waived and Resolution 65-156 be adopted, setting hearing for November 1, 1965.
