VARIANCE & CUP On motion of Councilman Gilmore, <br />APPLICATIONS seconded by Councilman Burk and <br /> carried~ Council ordered filed <br /> the following variance and <br />conditional use permits~ decisions made by the Zoning Administrator or <br />Planning Commission: <br /> <br />V.A. 2181~ Pieper - use portion of 3 lots for off street parking at 114 N. <br />Figueroa in R 2 district - APPROVED. <br />V.A. 2182, Vilchis - reduce required distance between main buildings from <br />15' to 13'4" at 434 E. Central - APPROVED. <br />CUP 206~ Edinger Church of the Nazarene - construct two second story class- <br />room additions to existing church building that has less than required <br />parking at 2033 W. Edinger in R 1 district - APPROVED. <br /> <br />TRAFFIC REPORT On motion of Councilman Gilmore~ <br /> seconded by Councilman Burk and <br /> carried~ Council ordered filed <br /> report of traffic control devices <br />installed or removed from October 13 through 27, 1965. <br /> <br />soUTH MAII~ Harold Grimes, Director~ Traffic <br /> Committee of South Main Improvement <br /> Association, read to Council a <br /> resolution of the Board of <br />Supervisors Of the Association~ requesting Council's assistance to preserve <br />accessabillty to the business districts of Santa Ana by getting access to the <br />Newport Freeway below MacArthur. The Manager reviewed the many attempts, <br />without success~ to get support from various governmental agencies on this <br />matter. <br /> <br />Councilman Markel stated that the Association's secretary had been notified <br />of a meeting to be held November 3rd with the Public Works Director, adding <br />that Council will do whatever is possible to assist. <br /> <br />SANITATION DIST.#7 Council received from the City <br /> Manager a report on request of <br /> Sanitation District ~7 to <br /> purchase sewer in Tustin Avenue~ <br />north of 17th, in which he pointed out that sanitation lines have been <br />constructed by the City for the potential development of abutting properties <br />and for the provision of service to properties which can be annexed, concluding <br />with a recommendation that the City not sell the line. <br /> <br />A motion by Councilman Brooks, and seconded by Councilman Markel~ that the <br />request of Sanitation District ~7 be denied was withdrawn with permission <br />of Council after the Mayor called attention to the fact that the Sanitation <br />District's representative was not present. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Brooks~ seconded by Councilman Burk and carried~ <br />that the matter be tabled to the meeting of November 15, 1965. <br /> <br />RECESS <br /> <br />At 3:50 p.m. the Mayor declared <br />a five minute recess.
