ST. VACATION The Clerk announced that notice of <br /> the hearing had not been published <br /> properly for Resolution 65-156, <br /> proposing vacation of street right <br />of way known as Mantle, south o£ 22nd Street, and read the title of a new <br />resolution of intention setting a new hearing date of December 6th. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 65-169 APPROVING MAP AND DECLARING I~ENTION TO VACATE STREET RIGHT <br />OF WAY~ KNOWN AS MANTLE STREET~ SOUTH OF ~ENTY-SECOND STREM~ GIVING NC~ICE <br />OF HF~RING THEREON~ AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION 65-156 was read by title. It <br />was moved by Councilman ~mrk, seconded by Councilman Herrin, that further <br />reading be waived and Resolution 65-169 be adopted. On roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES~ COUNCILMEN: <br /> <br />NOES~ COUNCILMEN: <br />ABSENT~ COUNCILMEN: <br /> <br />Gilmore~ Brooks: Burk~ Herrin, Markel~ <br />McMichael, Harvey <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />CROSSING GUARDS The Director of' Public Works <br /> reported on requests for crossing <br /> guards at Standard and Mcfadden <br /> and Standard and Hobart. Studies <br />revealed that no further traffic controls were needed at Standard and Mcfadden: <br />and it was recommended that children be instracted not to use the east and <br />south crosswalk; that further traffic control was not needed at Standard <br />and Hobart, but that use of a school boy patrol be recormnended to the school. <br /> <br />Mrs. Henry Honaker~ 841 E. Norman~ Ken Pruitt~ 1124 E. Hobart~ Principle <br />of Madison School~ and Mrs. Barbara Benning, 820 Hobart~ spoke in favor of <br />crossing &bards. Mr. Pruitt expressed opposition to school boy patrols~ <br />because of the disruption of the school schedule. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Gilmore~ seconded oy Councilman Brooks and carried, <br />Council orderem filed the reports of the Public Works Director and denied <br />the requests for crossing guards. <br /> <br />RECREATION CFnNTER The City Manager reviewed the <br />ADDITION circumstances resulting in a <br /> letter from Goodman Construction <br /> Company stating inability to <br />obtain performance bond for contract to construct addition to E1 Salvadore <br />Recreation Center~ awarded by Council 10-4-65. <br /> <br />On motion of CounciLman Brooks~ seconded by Councilman Markel and carried~ <br />Cotu]cil ordered the contract be cancelled and forfeiture of bid deposit. <br /> <br />TENT. TRACT 6074 <br /> <br />Tentative Tract Map 60'[4 was <br />filed by R. A. Diedrich creating <br />five R 1 parcels south and east <br />of the intersecting streets, <br />Hathaway and Twenty-first Streets. It was moved by Councilman McMichael~ <br />seconded by Councilman Herrin and carried, that Council approve Tentative <br />Tract Map 6074~ subject to the conditions described in the Planning Director's <br />report dated October 15~ 1965. <br /> <br />TENT. TRACT 6075 Tentative Tract Map 6075 was filed <br /> by George Farms, Inc., creating <br /> thirty-three A 1 parcels south <br /> of Mcfadden, west of Santa Aha <br />River Channel. On motion of Councilman McMichael~ seconded by Councilman <br />Herrin and carried, Council approved Tentative Tract Map 6075, subject to <br />the conditions described in the Planning Director's report dated October 15, <br />1965. <br />CITY COUNCIL - 397 - November 1, 1965 <br /> <br /> <br />
