At 10:21 p.m. <br />Council reconvened with all <br />Councilmen present. <br /> <br />ZWEIG REQUEST It was moved by Councilman Herrin, <br /> seconded by Councilmsn Burk that <br /> the request filed by Mr. Zweig <br /> to purchase excess parcel of land, <br />King Street at terminus of 10th, which is contiguous to his property at ll02 <br />King Street, be ordered filed, with the Clerkt~ notify Mr. Zweig that at such <br />time as the property is placed on the market he will be notified. <br /> <br />Councilman Brooks stated he thought the City Council had instructed the City <br />Attorney to proceed with getting appraisal and putting property up for sale. <br />The City Attorney replied that the court case is now finished, and an appraisal <br />has been made. <br /> <br />Mr. Herrin asked that his motion be amended to include the date of the next <br />meeting. Councilman NcMichael asked that at the same time the staff have a <br />report about the advisability of a lot split on that parcel. <br /> <br />The amended motion was passed to order the Zweig request filed, imstruct the <br />Clerk to notify Mr. Zweig that the public sale proceedings will be initiated <br />on December 20, 1965 and to instruct the staff to report on a possible lot split. <br /> <br />TRAFFIC - REQUEST FROM Mr. R. Gallegos spoke to Council <br />GALLEGOS CORP. regarding his request to close the <br /> north half of 8th Street between <br /> MAin and Bush during construction <br />of Bank of America Building for about nine months. Mr. Wolford explained that <br />the Municipal Code allows use of the street seven feet from the curb with a <br />walkway provided, but the walkaway could be waived in this area without <br />inconvenience to pedestrians. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Brooks, seconded by Councilman Burk and carried, that <br />the walkway requirement be waived and the Gallegos Corporation be allowed to <br />erect its barricade 7 feet from the curb. <br /> <br />TENT. PARCEL MAP 438 Tentative Parcel Map 438 was filed <br /> by Rosabelle Corry creating 3 <br /> parcels at the southwest corner <br /> of Fairview and First. It was <br />moved by Councilman Markel, seconded by Councilman Burk and 'carrie~d, that <br />Council approve Tentative Parcel Map ~38, subject to the conditions listed in <br />the Planning Director's report dated December l, 1965~ and waive the alley <br />requirement. <br /> <br />TENT. TRACT 61lb Tentative Tract 6114 was filed by <br /> Clara E. Vose creating 169 R 1 <br /> parcels at the southwest corner <br /> of Memory Lane and Bristol Street. <br />It was moved by Councilman Burk, seconded by Councilman Herrin and carried~ <br />that Council approve Tentative Tract 6114, subject to the conditions in the <br />Planning Director's report dated December l, 1965. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL - 419 - December 6, 1965 <br /> <br /> <br />
